About Us

33.10 — Latitude with Attitude — is what Yumans read who like to know what’s going on, but want to laugh or learn something interesting along the way. Designed for those of us who seem to always be at work or shuttling the kids to and from their activities, it’s a quick read with lots of photos, lifestyle tips and news that actually affects or interests you. And it’s YOUR publication — you can share your photos with us, give a thumb up or down to something going on in the area, or even write us a short poem or even a chapter in our ongoing short story, any of which gets you a shot at some cool or useful prizes.

Here are some of the items we run frequently in 33.10:

Yuma Snaps. This is where Yumans send us their photos for fun or a chance to win prizes. It’s such a popular feature, we gave it its own page on this site: Look for the Yuma Snaps link above and find out how to get us your stuff and how to win in our weekly drawing and monthly theme contests.

What you need to know. This recap of some area news focuses on things that affect you: New laws you need to be aware of; people in need you may wish to help; the latest on new buildings or businesses coming to town, the top headlines from recent issues of The Sun that you’ll want to know.

Area Five. These are five local or state-related news items spun with our own brand of wacky attitude. It's water-cooler talk, whether you talk to your cooler or not!

News of the Weird. 33.10 is now Yuma’s home for Chuck Shepard’s popular recap of the world’s weirdest, be it least competent criminals, people with issues, or stuff that’s so off the charts it can’t possibly be true.

The Thumb. This is your chance to give a thumbs up or a thumbs down to what you’ve observed in Yuma. A random person who sends us their “thumb” each week is drawn for a 33.10 fun pack, often including either a T-shirt or a hat.

News In Verse. Limericks ( simple 4-line verses, spoofs of nursery rhymes). What the heck, go all Shakespearian on us and break out a sonnet! Just get it to us by noon Friday (via e-mail or Web form) to be entered in that week's 33.10 T-shirt drawing.

The List. Here's where to look to find out what activities are too hot to miss in Yuma in the upcoming week. Or Check on "Events" above.
